Analytics and marketing cookies are not deployed until you opt in through the cookie banner. If MHL adds third-party services (e.g., Google Analytics, Plausible), this table will be updated before those cookies are activated.

5. Cookie Categories

5.1 Strictly necessary

Required for the Site to function and cannot be disabled through our banner. Includes security and consent storage cookies.

5.2 Functional

Enhance functionality such as remembering preferences. Not currently used beyond consent storage.

5.3 Analytics

Help us understand how visitors use the Site. Disabled by default until you accept analytics cookies.

5.4 Marketing

Used for advertising or cross-site tracking. MHL does not use marketing cookies at launch. Disabled by default.

7. Regional Requirements

7.1 Canada

Under PIPEDA and substantially similar laws, we obtain meaningful consent for non-essential cookies where required. You may withdraw consent by updating preferences or contacting privacy@modernhockeyleague.com.

7.2 United States

Where state laws require notice or opt-out for certain tracking technologies, we provide this Policy and consent controls. MHL does not sell Personal Information or use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising at launch.

7.3 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

Where GDPR and ePrivacy rules apply, non-essential cookies are placed only after you provide affirmative consent through the banner. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.

7.4 Other regions

Users elsewhere receive the protections described in this Policy and our Privacy Policy to the extent required by applicable local law.
